Chowfah, monastery roof decoration (have a look at the last picture taken in Sale, at the Yokesone monastery), placed on the ridgepiece of the roof.
It represents an elephant holding a young woman in its trunk, recurrent symbol in the Burmese symbolism.
It is worn due to the years and bad weather, since it was placed outside, however this does not spoil its charm, on the contrary.
It is sold with a custom-made stand in steel.
Height 97 cm; width 23 cm.
BEautiful ancient object, very decorative.
Object eroded by age and bad weather, the tip is restored and is probably not original, which does not spoil its charm (have a look at the pictures).
Careful packaging, insured shipment via Bpost with track & trace.
